Girish Ganaraj

Girish Ganaraj is the founder of Finwise Financial Planners and Advisors and serves as a CFP® professional and SEBI Registered Investment Advisor. A graduate of VJTI, Mumbai, and a post-graduate from IIM Lucknow, he brings together deep technical expertise and a strong belief in financial independence and well-being. Before establishing Finwise, he built a distinguished 22-year corporate career, holding leadership roles at Vodafone, HDFC Life, and Blow Plast Limited, and continues to write extensively on personal finance as a columnist for Moneycontrol.

Finwise was founded in 2012, when Girish and his spouse, Prathiba, became their own first financial planning clients and discovered the transformative impact of structured financial guidance. Today, both are fully dedicated to their practice, helping individuals and families achieve financial independence, pursue their goals with clarity, and build lives rooted in purpose, balance, and security. Their approach centers on disciplined planning, thoughtful investment management, and the belief that financial well-being enables personal fulfillment.

Outside his professional work, Girish is an avid reader and a strong advocate of holistic well-being. A long-distance runner for more than 12 years, he has completed multiple full and half marathons and lives by the maxim that good health is priceless.
