Devang Shah founded Right Returns in June 2000, establishing one of India’s pioneering financial planning practices. A Cost Accountant, CFP® professional, and MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, he brings over two decades of expertise to the field. He has chaired the Global Advisory Council of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), USA, served as an advisor to FPSB India, and was a member of its first Examination and Certification Committee. Devang was the first CFP® professional to be licensed in both the U.S. and India, a distinction he held until 2022 when he chose to focus entirely on his India practice.

At Right Returns, Devang leads with the belief that genuine, high-quality financial advice should empower individuals to achieve peace of mind—not just higher returns. He envisions financial planning as a tool for freedom and well-being, emphasizing thoughtful, context-driven advice that transcends product sales or asset gathering. Under his leadership, the firm has built a reputation for offering advice that prioritizes clients’ long-term prosperity over short-term market movements.
