Refunds & Cancellations Policy for Financial Advisors

1. Purpose
This Refunds & Cancellations Policy explains how subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds work for financial advisors (“you”, “your”) using RiaFin (“we”, “our”, “us”). By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this policy.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the following plans: Starter (Free), Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
3. Billing Cycle
Paid plans (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are billed on a monthly basis per advisor, plus applicable taxes (e.g., GST). A billing cycle is one (1) month starting from your subscription or renewal date.
4. Cancellations & No Pro-Rata Refunds
You may cancel at any time by sending us an email and a valid reason. If you cancel during an active billing cycle, your plan remains active until the end of the paid month. No refund or credit is issued for the remaining days in that cycle.
5. Renewals
Paid plans automatically renew monthly on your billing date. To avoid the next charge, cancel your subscription before the renewal date (we recommend at least 24 hours prior).
6. Plan Changes (Upgrades/Downgrades)
- Upgrade mid-cycle: We may charge a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the current month; higher-tier features/limits unlock immediately.
- Downgrade: Takes effect on the next billing cycle. No refunds are issued for downgrades during the current cycle.
7. Buy Connections & Usage-Based Items
Included monthly Buy Connections reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. If you purchase additional Buy Connections or other usage-based add-ons, they are considered delivered services and are non-refundable once provided. Subscription refunds (if any are ever granted due to error) do not cover delivered usage-based items.
8. Starter (Free) Plan
The Starter plan is free of charge and does not involve payments; refunds do not apply. You may upgrade to or downgrade from paid plans at any time.
9. Features Marked “Coming Soon”
Features labeled “coming soon” (e.g., performance reports, calendar integrations, plan management tools, and many more in future) do not affect refund eligibility. Your subscription covers the features currently available in your plan.
10. Taxes & Payments
Prices are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes. Where refunds are issued due to billing errors, refunds are processed to the original payment method. Banking timelines may vary; please allow 7–10 business days for your provider to post the credit.
11. Chargebacks & Account Status
Filing a chargeback may result in temporary suspension while we investigate. Please contact our support team first—we’re happy to help resolve billing issues quickly.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our website and/or communicated via email or dashboard notifications. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. How to Cancel or Get Help
You can cancel your subscription (or account) by sending us an email with subject `Cancel my Pro Subscription`. For billing questions, please contact us at contact.
