Refunds & Cancellations Policy for Financial Advisors

1. Purpose
This Refunds & Cancellations Policy explains how subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, plan changes, and lead purchases work for financial advisors ("you", "your") using RiaFin ("we", "our", "us"). By subscribing to any paid plan, you agree to this policy.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the following:
- Marketplace Listing Plans: Starter (Free), Bronze, Silver, Gold (billed annually per advisor)
- Lead Purchases: Separate transactions for purchasing client leads beyond free plan allocations
3. Billing Cycle
All paid plans are billed on an annual basis (1-year/365-day cycle) per advisor, plus applicable taxes (e.g., GST). Billing cycles start on the subscription or renewal date and last one year.
4. Cancellations & No Refunds
You may cancel any paid plan anytime through your account dashboard.
Lock-in Period: A 90-day lock-in period applies from your subscription start date. During this period, you cannot cancel or downgrade your subscription.
Cancellation Effect: If canceled after the lock-in period, your subscription is canceled immediately with no refunds for any unused portion of the annual billing period. Your account is reverted to the Free plan immediately upon cancellation, and you will lose access to paid plan features.
5. Renewals
Paid plans automatically renew annually on your billing date. To prevent renewal charges, please cancel your subscription at least 24 hours before the next billing date.
6. Plan Changes (Upgrades/Downgrades)
- Upgrade mid-cycle: A prorated credit is calculated based on the remaining days of your current annual subscription. You are charged the prorated difference for the new plan. New features unlock immediately.
- Downgrade mid-cycle: Takes effect immediately with no refunds for the unused portion of your current plan. Access to higher-tier features ends immediately.
- Lock-in Period: Plan changes (upgrades/downgrades) are not allowed during the 90-day lock-in period from your subscription start date.
7. Marketplace Listing Plans (Starter, Bronze, Silver, Gold)
These are subscription plans providing advisors with enhanced profile credibility, visibility, and monthly lead allocations. For detailed features and pricing, please refer to Marketplace Listing Plans section on our website.
8. Starter (Free) Plan
The Starter plan is free of charge and does not involve payments; refunds do not apply. You may upgrade to or downgrade from paid plans at any time.
9. Monthly Lead Allocations
Paid subscription plans include free lead allocations each month:
- Bronze: 1 free leads/month
- Silver: 3 free leads/month
- Gold: 6 free leads/month
Free leads are allocated monthly and do not roll over. Any leads purchased beyond your free allocation are charged separately at the prevailing rates.
10. Lead Purchases & Non-Refundability
Lead purchases are separate transactions from your subscription fees and are final and non-refundable. This includes:
- Any leads purchased beyond your free monthly allocation
- All lead purchases made while on any plan (including Free plan)
We recommend reviewing lead details carefully before purchasing. Once a lead is purchased, the transaction cannot be refunded or reversed.
11. Features Marked "Coming Soon"
Features labeled "coming soon" (e.g., performance reports, calendar integrations, plan management tools, and many more in future) do not affect refund eligibility. Your subscription covers the features currently available in your plan.
12. Taxes & Payments
Prices are exclusive of GST and other applicable taxes. Where refunds are issued due to billing errors, refunds are processed to the original payment method. Banking timelines may vary; please allow 7–10 business days for your provider to post the credit.
13. Chargebacks & Account Status
Initiating a chargeback may result in temporary account suspension while the issue is investigated. Please contact support before initiating disputes for quick resolution.
14. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our website and/or communicated via email or dashboard notifications. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
